The Army School Varanasi, was started on 03 April, 2001. The school took over the assets of the Gorkha Primary School, 39 GTC, Varanasi Cantt.

To cherish this fervor, with the efforts of Brig. Anil Malhotra commandant 39 GTC Varanasi Cantt and Managing Committee, Army School Varanasi is inaugurating from 03 April 2001 to join the avant-grade. Displaying its mettle in the field of holistic education the school offers all the streams i.e. Science, .....  Army Pre Primary School, 39GTC, Varanasi Cantt was established on 1 Apr 2001 with the objective to impart quality education to the children of serving as well as retired defence personnel. Ever since its inception, APPS Varanasi has been instrumental in laying down a sound foundation of early childhood education. Under the aegis of Army Welfare Education Society, the school has been providing an integrated education system taking into account various developmental domains and innovative pedagogies thereby building requisite qualities in a child of a strong character, independent learner and dynamic personality. The curriculum of the school is based on the government’s Early Childhood Care Education program and the New Education Policy 2020 which aim at holistic development of the child. 

A facility that meets the aspirations of  both serving & retired armed forces personnel and their dependents is now functional at *'Varanasi'*

    A Surya Command Welfare project,  *Kashi Sanik Sadan* is a modern facility having  11 double occupancy and  02 single occupancy AC rooms with attached washrooms, a Cafeteria with Dinning facility, central amenities of laundry service, pick and drop, a 24 x 7  Reception, beautiful ambience with open lawns.    Located in Varanasi Cantt at 39 GTC , in the close proximity of the Cantt Railway Station with easy last mile connectivity  to places interest.
